If you are just starting to smoke, you may not know how to properly roll a joint, so make sure to keep reading to learn how to roll a joint.
Rolling Paper
When it comes to rolling joints, you’re going to need rolling paper. You can find rolling paper at your local smoke shop. When you go to get your rolling paper you may feel overwhelmed by all the choices of paper.
There is a general rule you can follow is that the wider and longer the paper is the more weed you’ll be able to fit. As a beginner, you can go with a wider paper until you get used to rolling your joints.
Longer papers are also going to be better if you are going to add a filter to your joint. It should also be noted that the thicker the paper is, that will also make it easier to roll. Once you’ve gotten your paper picked out it’s time to start rolling.
Grind Your Weed
When it comes to grinding your weed you want to make sure that the bud is free from any stems with a crumbly texture.
If you have a grinder, you place the bug into the grinder and twist it around 11 times. Once you feel no more resistance with the grinder your weed is ready to go.
Filling the Paper
Now that you have your paper and weed ground up it’s time to start filling your paper.
If you are using a filter you would first place the filter on the paper, usually, most papers will include the filter but it’s not necessary. The filter helps prevent any particles from getting in your mouth while you smoke.
You’ll now put the weed into the joint, make sure that it’s free of any clumps, and that all materials are dry. Once the weed is evenly spread among the paper its time to roll.
Rolling a Joint
This is one of the last steps to completing your joint. Your first time rolling one may be difficult but you’ll get it down with practice.
You’ll want to pinch the paper and slightly roll it back and forth to get the final shape. From here you’ll start to roll the paper up. It’s best to roll it from the centre and go outward. Let your thumbs do the work.
Once the roll is complete, you’ll lick the top edge and tuck to seal your joint. Twist the end and use something to slightly poke the bottom to ensure an even smoke.
Now you’re ready to light it up and enjoy your smoke.
